RACHEL MACKENZIE

Rachel Mackenzie is a highly accomplished violinist and dedicated educator with extensive experience performing with leading orchestras and teaching students of all levels. She trained at the Royal College of Music, earning both her Master of Performance as a Henry Wood Scholar and a Bachelor of Music. As a freelance orchestral violinist, she has performed with leading UK orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Ulster Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra. Recording projects include the soundtrack for award winning video game Horizon Forbidden West, and Disney Plus's Shardlake.

Alongside her performing career, Rachel is a passionate violin and viola teacher, currently teaching at Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama (as a deputy), Lancing College, and Create Music. She also maintains an extensive private teaching practice, supporting students from beginners to Grade 8 and beyond. Whether on stage or in the classroom, she brings technical expertise, artistry, and enthusiasm to every aspect of her work.
